As you will see on the Membership Benefits page, G.F.V.G.A. serves as our industry’s voice for all fruit and vegetable commodities in Georgia. Today the association has over 350 members and it continuing to grow at 20-25% per year.

Our site is designed for both the producer and the consumer. If you are a producer you will be able to stay abreast of the latest legislative and regulatory issues in Washington and Atlanta. We’ll keep you informed of important meetings scheduled, and activities planned, you will want to attend like our Winter Conference in January in Savannah.

For our consumers, don’t miss the crop availability chart to see when your favorite fruit or vegetable will be at its prime on the your local grocer’s shelf. There are links to other pages, for healthy and yummy dishes on the ‘5-A-Day’ site. Plus we’ll have our own ‘Georgia’ recipes on line in the near future.

Fruit and vegetable production is big business in Georgia. We produce crops with a value of over $750 million at the farm gate. That equates to more than $2.2 billion pumped into Georgia’s economy every year from the fruit and vegetable industry. We are the number two commodity in Georgia.
